Literacy

Today, we are going to look at how we can use adverbs to engage the reader.
Adverb starters to engage the reader. These can be used when you want to give your reader a really juicy fact.
Example:  Amazingly, Rhiswanozebtahs like to burrow and, therefore, make their homes underground.
Here the adverb has been used as a fronted adverbial to tell us how the rhiswanozebtah does something.
Use these adverbs as fronted adverbials to write some interesting sentences about the rhiswanozebtah:

  • Interestingly
  • Surprisingly
  • Weirdly
  • Intriguingly
  • Unusually
  • Astoundingly

Don’t forget to use a comma!

Finally

Two people responded to my request about the next book I should read. 1 vote for The Philosopher’s Stone and 1 vote for The Chamber of Secrets. I need a few more people to let me know before I can start reading one of them.

I have read some more of The Dancing Bear for you

We hope that you have a happy and busy day today
